Title: Director of Education/Education Director (ED)

Pay: $100/wk

Pay includes the option of taking 50% of tuition fees rather than $100/wk once student load reaches 40 for both sessions (see session schedule.)

Job Description

This is a great side gig that can be done alongside any full- or part-time job. As an ED, you will work with the AD to create fun and meaningful educational experiences for students through artistic expression. This is a new way to teach science alongside performance, and our goal is to reinvigorate students’ interest in STEM and work; in our small way, toward a brighter tomorrow.

Description of Duties

• Develop new curricula with the help of the AD.

• Network and build professional relationships with members of the institution and

  the community.

• Monitor the progress of new and existing teaching methods.

• Closely evaluate results at the end of each session and write up progress reports.

• Supervise all faculty recruitment and vetting prospective teachers (where applicable.)

• Identify areas for improvement and schedule workshops for new and existing staff (where applicable.)

  Session Schedule

  Session prep begins on the first Saturday May and concludes on the last Sunday in June. Session one begins in July and ends with a performance in August. Session two begins in September and ends with a performance in October. Details of the session schedule will be determined by the ED and AD within session prep.
